Weight Loss During The Holidays

Those of use that are on diets or are trying to lose some weight dread this time of year that is coming around the corner.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years all pose great big eating challenges for anyone needing to lose weight.  Here is a decent site I found to help you lose 20 pounds that might help keep the pounds off.

Keep in mind that during these holiday times you need to avoid the temptations of all the chocolate, fudge, and other types of candy that pose a great threat to your weight loss goals.  You can enjoy some of these but keep in mind that dieting does require some restraint on your part. 

If you do decide to splurge and over eat, indulge in fattening foods and generally slide into tempation you will need to increase your exercise to help you keep on track with losing weight.  Spending more time at the gym, following your normal exercise routing and keeping active during yorur down times at work will help to burn those extra calories consumed over this timeframe.  There are many different weight loss tips you can follow to help make it through this diet killer phase of the year, but using some common sense is probably your best alternative



Lunch Break Weight Loss

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately trying how to figure out ways to exercise and keep shape during my lunch hour.  I have started taking walks around the facility for about half an hour during my lunch break to try and burn some extra calories.  Over the winter I had gained a lot of weight and I’m slowly starting to lose it all as the summer progresses.  I can’t believe how much weight a person can put on when they become idle and content to sit on the porch or sofa watching television.  I’ve considered joining a gym or weight loss program that I could visit during lunch but I’m not sure I can find a good fitness center close to my office. 

I do hit the golf course on a regular basis and have given up riding in a cart in exchange for walking.  This alone has accounted for quite a bit of the weight loss I have achieved during the summer months.  I still have a long way to go to achieve my ultimate weight loss goals.
